A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT ALEX BALILI / RCPSucat / 2008-2009
July 14, 2008
Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,
With all humility and gratitude, I thank the members of the Rotary Club of Paranaque Sucat for the trust and confidence thay reposed on me on a gargantuan task as President of the club. It never occurred to me or in my wildest dream that I would become a leader of an organization as prestigious as the Rotary Club. In this light, I shall endeavor to take the challenge posed upon me and muster all the resources I can have to meet the task at hand. I am fully aware this task is so huge. But with the members' support and the past presidents' guidance and inspiration, I believe we can attain what Rotary stands for - Service above Self - and together we can MAKE DREAMS REAL. Congratulations to the Officers and membersof the Rotary Club of Paranaque Sucat. ___________________________________________________________________________

thank u so much for taking time in sharing me the video of So far way by Bamboo.... its really great and truly a rotarian way... i never thought that a rotarian will reallly go out of their way just to give in even to a small wish... i very much appreciate it. Our club right now is calling the attention and support of other civic organizations in pushing the protection and conservation of marine species in our bay... this tuesday we are scheduled to approved the draft resolution to be endorsed to the sangguniang panglungsod for an ordinance. I am glad that our government is now taking steps in the conservation process. We are trying not to create animositywith the fishermen and vendors who will definitely be affected by this act. But we believe also in keeping balance in our environment. this is truly not an easy task but we are hoping to succeed on this cause. Cheers to ROTARY!

Dear CS Leah Berry,
Included with this letter are several letters I had written and addressed to the RCF bulletin editor for lack of an email address I could write to. May I then just allow you to read through them so there wouldn't be any gap in our correspondence, from one Rotary club to another.
PP "Romy" Gomez who visited with your club just about a week ago got hold of your email through Patty Daughtrey, the Bulletin Editor of RCF and this is the reason why I can communicate with you now.
Please, read the random letters below - - ->
Yours in Rotary Service,

Thanks, PP Romy . . I will write to her about the "RCPSucat Proposal for TRF" tomorrow. Pres "Pete" is here and we are on our way to Mocha Blends to have Ceasar's Salad . . wish you were here, bro. Take care.

Dear Pres. Brian Welch,
In behalf of Pres. "Pete" Jose Perez and the rest of the Officers and Members of RCPSucat / D3830, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Rotary Club of Farragut for welcoming our Rotarian brother PP "Romy" Romeo Gomez.
From the photographs he recently uploaded at his personal website:
somehow, we have vicariously met with the members, past presidents and even with District 6780 Governor Robin Textor. The reading of PP Romy's Letter of Introduction, as well as, the Exchange of Bannerettes were equally meaningful as relayed to us by PP "Romy" himself.
Somehow, we are grateful that we, at present, find ourselves part of this IT age for without which, PP Romy would not have easily made the connection with your kind club. We have a temporary template-website that you may visit to acquaint you with our past and recent projects and activities. Ours is a small club that we have started to revive since June 2007. We are beginning to witness a growth in membership and are presently extending our open arms to the younger generation.
Wishing you all the best for your Rotary club and I hope we will continue our communications through the internet, helping each other focus on what our Founder, Paul Harris has envisioned to achieve. From now on, let us do things the Rotary Way.
Yours in Rotary Service,
"Glenn" A. Bautista / Chairman, International Service Group / Rotary Club of Paranaque-Sucat (RCPSucat) D3830, Paranaque City, MM, Philippines 1700
Bro, as the Chairman of RCPS International Service, I submitted these pictures for your perusal and as you wish you may feature these in our RCPSucat site. Picture nos. P1010424 & 425 were the bannerette exchange pics while no. 426 was when I gave the letter of intro to Pres. Welch.
I did not meet any interactor nor rotaractor during the meeting but hope to meet in my meeting with other clubs. I am not scheduled to meet with RCF again but we can communicate with them through their club secretary's e-mail address. I will send it to you and maybe what we can do is for you and Pres Pete to write to RCF via e-mail telling them that I have already reported to RCPS my attendance to their meeting and in this connection you are sending them a TRF proposal for their consideration. I think this is the right time to send them the proposal because in the meeting, Gov. Textor was urging the RCF members to become Paul Harris fellows citing that in their District there is already a FIRST all Paul Harris fellows club. He was insinuating to the RCF to become the SECOND. I did not have the luxury of time to talk to them after the meeting because their meeting was too short (only 1 hour) and everybody after the adjournment bell were in a hurry back on to their respective afternoon schedules. Maybe I could talk to PP Joan Mcintee when I meet her again. She said she will invite me in one of their meetings.
Bro, I will write my comments on our TRF proposal separately.

I will appreciate it if you can find time to read Joyce's resume for her to get employment as soon as possible. She approached me yesterday after tennis, here at the BF Homes Tennis Club where we are a member of.
Joyce is a good friend of our former Parish Priest Anton Gonzales who also plays tennis here at BF. She is the number 6th in the Youth tennis ranking. She may be of great help to Rotary in the field of tennis.
You may reply to: Sheila.Gelacio@sanofi-aventis.com for this inquiry/application. Thank you in advance.

Surprised to find out when I checked a few minutes ago that Chair Glenn has already uploaded some exciting photos of last night's LA Convention Launch. Left click on this active link to view:
Do not hesitate to enlarge then save photos you may wish to upload at your respective sites. DG Ato has requested Chair Glenn to do this for the District 3830's Activities to gain media mileage.
You may email him (bautista.glenn@...) for any questions or about photos of Rotarians he fails to label or name since he hasn't really met most of them. Let's do things the Rotary way.

Glenn, thanks for sending me pictures of your Rotarys' tree planting activity. I am always happy to see and hear military personnel interacting with civilians. More of these activities would mean a better understanding of the military organization and its personnel. The general in frame 8422 is our former Chief of Staff Gen Lisandro Abadia (Ret).
Now about the incidents cited in the letters; I guess the first course of action would be to report this to the PNP authorities. You see the program of our new PNP chief is "Police Visibility". If there will be more police visibility there will be less crimes. After having said that, one should always be extra alert when passing these critical areas. Take all necessary precautions!
